Details:
"Heidi Newman has an incredible ability to write songs that are beautiful and intelligent at the same time. The first time I heard her live I was transfixed. She sings with this mix of sexy, emotional and edgy - a sort of blend of it all. Her songs are compelling and beautifully arranged on her debut album "Forward"

Norm Johnson, President IMG Media

This CD came about in a funny way. I had been writing songs for years on my piano but was far too shy to ever sing them for anyone. I was given some guitar lessons for Christmas and met Gene Rosatti in this dumpy little local music shop where the lessons were. We never played, we just commiserated about how we both should be doing music projects and we threw out the idea of working together. Well I quit lessons and that was that. Much later I spent a day talking to another guitar player about doing a project, but never followed up on that either.

Fast forward about a year. I was working in an office on the sixth floor of a hospital and there had been an earthquake. One of the repairmen walked by the door and it was the second guitar player I had met with. Next week I had been moved to the deserted seventh floor of the hospital while repairs were done. I happened to glance up and there was Gene Rosatti walking by the door! He was lost and on the wrong floor! I figured what were the odds that the only two people I had ever spoken with about doing a CD had both found me the same week in the most obscure location. Gene and I right then and there shook hands on making a CD happen - and here it finally is.
