Steffen hails from the midwestern state of Iowa, where his roots bring you down to earth in his songwriting.

The Jenni Rain album was preceded by a tape release of the album "On and On" which included 11 original songs. Several songs from the "On and On" album are expected to be released on MP3 in the future.

Steffen is currently working on his third release, due for release in 2005.
