I started with the guitar as a hobby. Little did I know I would be playing in public only a year or so later. Mostly self-taught, I have had the opportunity to take a few lessons but I think I still have my own distinctive style.

This first CD has been described as introspective, and most of the songs included on this first CD are among my first efforts at song writing. They are, however, stories about situations that the people around me were going through in their lives, events that happened to them, or overheard comments which just inspired me to write something down.

I find that writing about these things is very cathartic and although I am new at songwriting, am finding it to be a good experience. The actual recording was also quite a learning process, and Dan at Digitracks Studios made that a very pleasant experience as well.

I am very thankful to the wonderful musicians who sat in with me on the CD, Michael Patterson, Duane Eby and Mike Andrews, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana. I hope you enjoy this CD, as much as we enjoyed working on it.
