On this third album, bandoneonist Denis Plante presents his original music for a production inspired by William Shakespeare's tragedy, which has been deftly transposed to the passionate world of tango. The bandoneón is like a dark wind blowing through the story until the final exhalation.

Romeo and Juliet Tango

A conflict between two rival families erupts. The Prince requests a cease-fire and a curfew to calm the populace. Secretly, young people meet at night on the dance floor to forget the ills of their divided world.

Act 1

Romeo's heart is broken by Rosalinda's rejection of his advances. Hoping to cheer him up, his friend Mercutio takes Romeo to a masked ball, where he meets Juliet. Romeo and Juliet's mutual attraction grows when they learn that their love is forbidden. Romeo meets Juliet at her house where they promise eternal love. They marry in secret.

Act 2

During a deadly duel, Romeo kills his rival Tybalt, forcing him into exile to avoid a war between the families. Juliet wishes to find Romeo, but her family prevents her from leaving. She simulates suicide to escape her family, but Romeo, overwhelmed with grief, does not wish to live on without his love. Learning of Romeo's passing, Juliet decides to join him in death.
