Audiopharmacy is spreading their message of consciousness and unity across the globe. The âSpare Changeâ tour is backed up by their newly released album, âSpare Change,â their recently dropped clothing line, âShishin Apparel,â and their new vinyl e.p. / music video, âProphecies.â Audiopharmacyâs performance and sound is refreshingly unique.

Audiopharmacyâs live set is nourished with congas, Spanish and middle eastern
style guitar, dubbish fretless basslines, turntablism, electronic and live drum kit as well as other percussions, flute, sax, melodica, ruan, two conscious MCâs, one MC/soul singer, a Brasilian songstress (female vocalist), and live acrylic artists as well. The energy ranges from hype hip hop tracks through Latin samba vibes, dubbish/roots/reggae, to downtempo Portishead type sounds as well. Sets vary depending on show atmosphere. All musicians are diverse.

A typical tour consists of the 7 piece band (band description below), a reggae/dancehall/hip hop dj, a funk/soul/hip hop dj, and two to four live painters. With Audiopharmacy, dj Stepwise (APP San Francisco/Angel Magic/Holding Firm.) spins roots/reggae/dancehall/hip hop. Dj-âOfferingsâ also is in the crew, spinning mainly funk/soul/hip hop/and reggae. Both spin before/after the live sets hyping up the crowd and keeping the vibes proper. Niceone and Dee Jae Paâeste throw down acrylic paint live on stage with the band creating solid productions by the end of each set. Also, to ensure a strong fan base in every traveled city, prior to every show, Audiopharmacy Prescriptions supplies the promoters with 300 to 500 free promotional audioflyers (cds with show info printed on casing) for your promotional use. Produced by Teao, the music goes deep. It is a blend of many cultures but has stemmed from roots of hip hop and experimentation. The production consists of many live world instruments. tabla, spanish & middle eastern style guitar, congas, flute, sax, sarod, didgeridoo, turntables, violin, balaphone, electronics...the list goes on. The lyrics are conscious... conversations on life.. and death. Politics, planetary self destruktion, ect. (lyrics are rapped, sung, or sometimes spoken word) Here are many styles; dark, light, mysterious, beautiful... middle eastern, dub/roots/reggae, hip hop, downtempo ect. The music, emotion communicated through sound... please listen with an open mind.


For those who don't know, the group started back in '94. Teao and Zygoat made music under the name II Sense (two sense). In '97, they combined with Defiance and Laxman to form Kaotic Souls, one of the only experimental and conscious hip hop acts in San Jose, Ca. The group eventually grew to the supa huge size of about 30 members... all spirtually connected artists. Finally in 2002, they created the name Audiopharmacy Prescriptions. Now, Kaotic Souls is broken down to subgroups, all of which are in the Audiopharmacy family. Audiopharmacy Prescriptions then became the San Francisco indi label which supports and signs unknown kin met along the path of consciousness and community. respect people's planets.
