This CD features a blend of mellow, romantic, and soaringly beautiful songs. âCuando el Cielo Lloraâ (When the Heavens Cry) was written by César Villalobos L. on September 11, 2001, as a heartfelt âprayer for peace.â It was played live for the first time on September 11, 2002, in a New York City concert benefit for the victims of this tragedy. Although the song typically brings tears to the eyes of listeners, it is ultimately hopeful.
âWith the message that this helps us to reflect, tolerate and forgive, because the spirit of the victims will always live with us, Villalobos asks that this song serve as a prayer of meditation about our own lives.â
