Hailing from the hiphop stronghold of East Scarborough, Toronto, Invizible Touch represents the metaphor of their name accurately by consistently producing musical endeavours capable of appealing to the listener on a multitude of levels. Ranging from intellectual and thought provoking wordplay to neck snapping instrumentals, this rap group/production house really does use an invisible medium to get âin touchâ with the listener.
Invizible Touch Productions emerged in 2000 from the combined efforts of a DJ/engineer and an MC/producer from Toronto, Canada. With some prior experience under their belts, and a like-minded musical vision, Tommy Holiday and Ash Brigiz were compelled to organize a self-sufficient music production group. Only through unification and subsequent incorporation would the hopes of independently creating and releasing original works to the public be realized. Throughout the ensuing years, Invizible Touch (I.T.) grew and developed through many successes, both independently and jointly with other artists & outside sources.
Having composed and produced varied instrumentals for recording artists like âBellyâ & âMasariâ (Capital Prophets Records), âJBâ (Guilty Crime Productions), and Scarborough natives âPeep-Showâ, not to mention âAsh Brigizâ himself (Invizible Touch Productions Inc.), I.T. has garnered experience and defined their unique style.. I.T. has also broadened their horizons by producing both compositions for use in various radio commercials and tracks for live and pilot college radio broadcasts (Night of the Groove Rewind Show 05â/06â). Several singles were also chosen for use in promotional compilations (GM â Dark nights 05â) and have received some underground radio exposure. This blend of talent, productivity and self-sufficiency has kept Invizible Touch in touch with the recording industryâ¦.
Ash Brigiz began his career as an MC in 98' casually writing and performing original works in numerous talent shows and random ciphers. Having been introduced to âJames Stangâ (Mi Diaz Music) in 97', Ash B rapidly developed a production savvy. This brief tutelage led to Ash B rapidly honing his skills to the point of involvement in producing beats for a number of underground acts between 98' and â01. Since founding Invizible Touch in 99â, Ash B has focused his energy on being a front line MC/producer for Invizible Touch Productions Inc.
Exercising an avoidance of typical rap stereotypes like violence, wealth and self-worship, Ash Brigiz has chosen to touch on some interesting alternate topics from his unique perspective, thus adding depth to his flows and substance to the already âstand-aloneâ beats provided by Invizible Touch Productions. Whether itâs imaginative story telling, philosophical flows, or word play, Ash Bâs overall experience is a refreshing alternative to much of the marketâs contemporary hip-hop and should allow for a welcome change from todayâs mainstream norms.
Initially DJâing at local jams in the mid 90's, Tommy Holiday soon became infatuated with the creative and technical process of music production. Through research, trial n' error, and guidance from experienced recording engineer 'Goggs' (S.W.A.P.P. studios - Ottawa), Tommy Holiday quickly adapted and developed his own extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of audio engineering and production. In 00â he put his aspirations into action, founding âInvizible Touch Productions Inc.â with Ash Brigiz. Since then Tommy Holidaysâ work ethic and meticulous attention to detail have consistently set the bar in every aspect of the music, including creativity and commitment to professional sound quality.
