Pal Steelo is just back from Nashville where he co-wrote a song with the very established writer- Kim Richey(Dixie Chicks, Trisha Yearwood). He also co wrote 2 songs with 2008 Grammy nominated artist Ruby Amanfu.


Pal Steeloâs songwriting and musical skill is evidently heavenly. Strong influences on Pal Steeloâs musical talents range from Simon and Garfunkel, Sting, Don McLean to Steely Dan and Joni Mitchell.

As an artist Pal Steelo has stored up a wealth of experience as the former lead singer with De Danann and Cellar Club. Recently one of Pal Steeloâs songs âA Life Like Mineâ has been recorded by multi platinum selling artist Tommy Fleming and is the title track of his current Universal release .

Pal Steelo are Paul McDonnell and Dave Molloy. Paul McDonnell is a very hard working live artist playing in excess of 180 gigs per annum. Dave Molloy is a very accomplished multi instrumentalist(mainly guitar) and a highly respected producer.

As a direct result of a showcase at MIDEM 2001 Pal Steelo recorded an album with award winning producer Shawn Pearse in Vancouver, Canada. 3 of the songs from the debut album were synchronised for TV worldwide on shows for Alliance Atlantis(Cold Squad) and CBC(Edgemont).

At MIDEM 2005 Pal Steelo signed a world-wide publishing deal with Monica Benson of BOK Music, Los Angeles and it is their hope that their new album âYou My Favourite Shadowâ(Produced By Dave Molloy) will be picked up by Managers, Labels and that they continue their success in music placement.

Currently Pal Steelo (Paul McDonnell) and Dave Molloy are promoting their single âJosephineâ in Ireland. It was chosen as track of the month on Downtown Radio Belfast and is âAâ listed on U105.8.It has also made several play lists throughout Ireland and reached No.1. on www.downloadmusic.ie.

âJosephineâ showcases the high standard that Pal Steelo set for themselves as writers. It was inspired by the book written by Jean Dominique Bauby the former editor in Chief of Elle Magazine, France. âThe Diving Bell and the Butterflyâ is the true story of a man suffering from Locked In Syndrome. He was paralysed save for the blinking of one eye. With this eye he devised a method of dictating his thoughts from his hospital bed to a caring nurse.

Josephine was a woman he was in love with in his past . He upset her on a road trip to Lourdes and Pal Steeloâs inspired song is an apology he may have offered.
