The Naheland Duo was started as part of a CD project of Wine songs from the Nahe River in Germany. Mark Merritt, from Choo-choo Seven Musik u. Verlag, had being toying around with the idea for several years before finding the right person to write the lyrics (he then composed the music) and then finding the right singers for the project.
Elfride Karsch, a well-known regional writer from the Nahe/Hunsrueck region in Germany was the perfect choice for a lyricist.
The Naheland Duo consists of Sandra Stilz from Kirn, Germany and Alexander Frank from Bad Kreuznach, Germany. Both are young, up-and-coming German singers who work well together and add just the right touch to the album.
