After recording with Kevin "Shekspere" Briggs, performing and negotiating with L.A. Reid and Arista records, Tyrone Perkins, a.k.a. MISTAPERKINS, packed his bags and went home to Chicago to re-evaluate his situation. In a time where politics outweigh raw talent, Perkins decided to take his vision to the front door of the battlefield, Hollywood California. After wrapping up a co-publishing deal with publishing giant WINDSWEPT PUBLISHING, Perkins became the newest member of the notorious hip-hop legends 2000 CROWZ, where he was introduced to, his now lifetime counterpart, PANAMA REDD. Known for his amazing ability to create the hottest hooks in hip-hop & R&B, Perkins takes his game straight to the streets of L.A......which happens to be the living room of rap powerhouse Mustafaa Tyehimba, a.k.a. PANAMA REDD, known for his earth shaking stage shows, as well as his "no nonsense" take on life, Panama blows back the masses yelling in the middle of L.A. traffic from a black mans point of view. Born in Panama and spending his earlier years in New York, PANAMA REDD moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15. Since then he has been murdering venues from the streets to the stage in an effort to help the masses obtain a better understanding of right and wrong moves to make in urban environments. Together the two became HORNZ AND HALOS, a continuous journey through music consisting of highs and lows, good and evil, war and peace, and love and hate. The chemistry of PANAMA REDD (the microphone murderer slash poet) combined with the unparallel (rhythm and pimpin') style of MISTAPERKINS, creates the sound that separates the group from the norm. H2 sends a brand new mixture of neck snapping hip-hop for the clubs as well as an adult old school feel that puts you where you want to be. The idea of HORNZ AND HALOS is to be more aware of who you are at the time! Not who you think you are all the time! And with that being said....the group has began its musical onslaught by adding a mixture of extremely well known artists as well as unsigned street artists to its roster.
