DRUMLIN specializes in song writing, and also has a passion for adapting, arranging and restoring heritage folk song fragments into a cutting edge fusion of traditional and modern music. DRUMLIN's new release 'Mackerel Skies' features a selection of the intriguing and untamed heritage songs of Nova Scotia from the collections of Helen Creighton. These twelve songs were chosen from over one thousand collected tunes found in the Nova Scotia Archives. 'Mackerel Skies' is the upshot of a gifted and hard working team which includes the outstanding talent of record producer Tim Feswick, the celebrated flat picking guitar work of JP Cormier, the award winning photography of Scott Munn, and the Juno nominated graphic design of Jud Haynes.
