Roy Glenn Key is a native Atlantan. Born and raised in the great south. He developed a love for music at an early age, coming from a musical family. His father was also a guitarist and singer and many of his relatives are also 'pickers'! His Grandmother played fiddle, guitar, banjo and the piano. Growing up he came to love the old songs of Hank Williams, Sr. and classic country and folk to bluegrass.
Roy began his career at a very young age, helping his Father perform at Churches and small town festivals. He loved being on stage with his Dad. He moved on to join in with other local acts mostly as the lead guitarist. He performed vocal harmonies but only sang a few songs. The more exposure he received he found that people were asking for him to sing instead of the person he considered to be the lead singer. His true passion was the guitar. However due to demand, he began singing more and in doing so developed his own unique sound.
His originals cover many aspects of his life. Many of the things he has experienced are stated in his songs. When you hear them you will be able to relate to the words. These are the songs of a small town boy who sees the world in a different light. A man who wishes everyone was good and that everyone has a chance at happiness. This sentiment is reflected in his songs.
His powerful raspy sexy voice is loved by everyone.
