I am Nicholas Peter Fettis, a California native, composer, pianist and a fan of John Muir and Yosemite since youth. This CD is my sixth and most rewarding for me. It was four years from conception to completion. During all my cherished times in Yosemite I saw so much awesome beauty but felt a void and could hear music as a "soundtrack" to accompany the visual beauty. Back in the early 60's I borrowed my sister's vinyl ballet LP to accompany my uncle's home movies of Yosemite. Over 40 years later with the encouragement of my good friend, Commander Len Hamilton I created this recording. I reside in Carmel Valley, California with my wife Mary Alice and son Peter. Carmel Valley is not quite Yosemite Valley but I can't complain! I started creating original music in 1965. In 1968 my high school performed a composition I wrote in the memory of Robert Kennedy. I perform every spring outside on Highway 1 for the Big Sur Marathon. It was in Big Sur where this CD was recorded. I have completed the recording for a future CD entitled "Pythagoras". We all know he laid the foundation for modern Western music. Rock'n'Roll wouldn't be the same without him!
