Las Vegas' Double Down Saloon and Wood Shampoo Records proudly present "Merry X-Mas Dammit", a holiday compilation that will go down like a shot of "Ass Juice" (this is the saloon's trademarked shot) in your eggnog.
I know you're probably thinking "Great, another crappy Christmas CD", this compilation is different. On any given hour at the Double Down you are as likely to find business types unwinding as you are jaded hipsters downing shots. "Merry X-Mas Dammit" is the much like the bar itself, a genre/gender blending mix of punk, lounge, honky tonk, noise, and more.
Featuring a mix of bands that all have ties to the Double Down both local and otherwise.
The Double Down Saloon has been featured on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations", Dave Attell's "Insomniac", among other television shows. It was also voted one of America's top "dive bars" in Playboy magazine.
