A BRIEF HISTORY â MARY LAMBERT
Juno Award Nominee, Mary Lambert, is a family singer/songwriter/performer who resides in Kingston, ON. Mary Lambert is an outstanding Canadian artist in the childrenâs entertainment field and her two Juno nominations and 8 awards from the United States (Parentsâ Choice Award Winner, iParenting Award Winner, and Dr. Toy, Best Childrenâs Vacation Product Award Winner) are a remarkable testimony to her talent and artistry. Her wonderful voice and colourful performances are filled with infectious music, sheer energy and lots of audience participation.
Since 1993, Mary has toured and performed over 2500 shows at schools, music festivals and family focused events throughout Canada. Mary Lambert Productions has released 11 CDs, one video and one live concert DVD. We are thrilled to announce that in April of 2008, Maryâs song âBuzzy the Busy Bully Beeâ was named as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC), in Nashville Tennessee and received an honourable mention award. In July 2007 her âPajama Partyâ CD and DVD were included in the OUR CHOICE 2007 Publication. Our Choice is the Canadian Childrenâs Book Centreâs annual guide to the best new Canadian books, magazines, audio and video for children and teens.

Maryâs career began while living in Bracebridge, ON, when a friend overheard her singing to her three small children at bedtime. They began a delightful childrenâs entertainment company entitled âJam Sandwichâ and released two childrenâs recordings together. In 1995, Lambert moved to Kingston and her solo career was born.

Throughout her years as a singer/performer, and mother of four, Mary has thoroughly enjoyed bringing the joy of music and creativity to kids of all ages through her recordings and concerts. Her background in music includes producing parades, musical theatre songs, and circus events with all of the children in her neighbourhood as she was growing up. Her childhood energy and creativity bubbled up, to allow her to remain a kid at heart with her musical career in her âbig kidâ years.

Her latest project, âMonkey Sing, Monkey Do!â was released in June of 2008. This new CD is filled with original songs full of light-hearted humour, and traditional tunes which will entice all listeners to sing-along and dance-along. âMonkey Sing, Monkey Do!â is just plain FUN!

Mary is a dazzling and dynamic addition to the Canadian childrenâs music scene, and has had reviews published in Canadian Living Magazine, Todayâs Parent, Resource Links for Canadian Elementary Schools, and B.C.
