By way of Middletown, Connecticut, the next preeminent producer from Atlanta is The ILL Genius. Having been involved in music for most of his life as a member of a rap group, promoter, and "party thrower," The ILL Genius is now laying down the tracks that are catching the attention of everyone from the staunchest hip-hop heads to the smoothest R&B balladeers. Not only is The ILL Genius the man behind the music for some of Atlanta's hottest up and coming rap acts, but he is also a serious songwriter, who has helped create the lyrics for PowerSource Entertainment's debut artist, male vocalist, Jay-El.
