Matt Saturn is an Australian songwriter/ multi-musician and recording artist. His musical style is a blend of powerful emotive-rock and philosophical/spiritual exploration. His songs range from tender ballads to driving and explosive dance-rock tracks. Comparisons of Mattâs music have been made with the intensity of bands such as Nirvana, Nickelback and Silver Chair, and also with the more philosophical styles of Cold Play, U2, Pink Floyd and John Lennon.

âI really enjoy the challenge of finding a new idea or issue that hasnât yet been written about, and then trying to create the most interesting and provocative lyrics and music that I can. Writing and recording original songs for others to enjoy gives me an awesome buzzâ.

Matt is also a qualified horticulturalist and sustainable living enthusiast. He currently lives in a solar-powered mud brick house surrounded by productive gardens and wilderness. He records and produces his music himself, and has recorded his debut album using solar generated electricity.

Matt has always had a keen interest in pop and rock music but didnât start playing an instrument himself until he was eighteen. First taking up the keyboard in an attempt to capture the original melodies that were playing is head. He then took up the bass two years later and then the guitar by his mid 20âs.
After playing bass, and guitar in numerous cover bands, Matt then turned his full attention to finishing and recording his original works.

âWhen recording and producing my music, I like to keep the arrangements solid and use effects eloquently. I really appreciate songs with natural musical strength, songs that can be reproduced easily in a live situation.â

âEarthâs Invitationâ is Mattâs debut album and features twelve original songs written over a ten-year period. From philosopher to gardener, pragmatist to dreamer, his range of songs is infused with diverse and potent ingredients.
From haunting ballads, Earth inspired rock, prophesy, the law of attraction and an Australiana tribute song to Steve Irwin.

The album âEarthâs Invitationâ is dedicated to this wondrous and beautiful planet Earth, and to its gracious struggle for balance in the face of unprecedented exploitation.
