Mary Anderson began her study of the Celtic Harp in 1980.
She has toured extensively throughout North America and the United Kingdom.
She has several albums to her credit including â White Pines â which she is re-releasing and is releasing now, âTHE BEST OF MARY ANDERSON.
Maryâs wonderful Style is spirited, aggressive and uniquely inspired.
Now, after an extended Sabbatical she is ready to share her music once again in a new formâ¦. and scope of venues in a Duo named BLUE DOG TANGENT, with Donn Roberts

Donn Roberts began his life in music at the ripe old age of six, studying piano and spending the next year scaling his way up the ivories. In his early teens he discovered the blues and jazz and though he has run the genre gambit he always comes back to them.
He has toured extensively most of his adult life.
He has five albums to his credit and is releasing a Best of Album this summer.
Like his new partner he took a Sabbatical from music but is returning now with Mary Anderson to form the Duo BLUE DOG TANGENT.

Two hearts, winding and intersecting along the path of time and life, never quite connecting, ever missing the glance , the smile or that knowing look that one day they would merge.
Then one cold December day it came and the music began like a distant echo, building, evolving and exploding, then gathering into a chorus that resounded like a single note in perfect harmony.
At last, in an unexpected moment of unison, mimicking the harmony of their instruments Mary and Donn found their name.
âTwo people, two instruments, A Celtic Harp and A Guitar. Two Instruments and two styles of music, Keltic Folk and Blues. And finally, two hearts bonding as one and two styles of music merging into a unique blend of Folk and Blues Spiced Subtly with a hint of Jazz, Cajun, a dash of Blue Grass and Echos of the East Coast.â
A song was born of two, a random volley of notes jamming into a collective, tangent yet cohesive. Then in the midst of the array the song spelled out its name and the name embraced the harpist and guitarist. And there on a warm, early spring evening the bonding of heart and music became complete and Mary and Donn emerged as BLUE DOG TANGENT.
