Here is a review for Mike's new album-
I've been listening to Titled Untold like any God fearing man ought to - cautiously. I thought for a moment to list some highlights of this album, but that could be the same as giving you a track list. Instead I'll give you a highlight of the highest of lights. The opening track is like a smack in the face instead of a cup of coffee in the morning - Love's Open Vein is savory to the last drop, making my ears yearn for more. Let Every Soul Be Near tells a story which softly reminds me of my guilty conscience. The fifth song stops me in my tracks. A Dance captures the essence of what it is to have a purpose. Practice makes perfect. Perfection makes this practically the heart of this album. And then, just when I think I am finished with my barrage of praise - Wolf Night speaks of invisible things carrying you away. Indeed, whichever of the divine muses Mike Pursley was fixed upon at this albums inception got carried away with her ability. I can practically hear the tears falling from the stars on a cloudy night - an ode to all that is unseen. Ghost Town is said to have been carved from only the purest of spiritual stone, and polished with not sand paper, but the gentle touch of care into what has become a vague story of man's search for something more. And certainly not least of all the gems herein contained, Criterion resounds below the vaulted ceiling of my mind. Meaningful, gently just, and honest...what more, in the way of cognition, could a sound hold than these ideals? I urge you to find this album and to tear it apart searching for your self - you'll be surprised what you find.
