The nearest comparison I could make to give you an idea of what The
Believers are about would be to point you in the direction of Fleetwood Mac.
However, that doesn't really do justice to the Believers; The Believers are
less sugary-sweet than the Macs, they are more earthy, certainly more
country and much more musically aggressive. The Believers sound totally
uniï¬ed in everything they do - surely these two excellent songwriters were
born to be together musically - so well suited are they to each other. Frazzini
and Aspen work stunningly well together; they harmonise beautifully and
there's a massive feeling of mutual understanding and respect that emanates
from their core. Like Delaney was musically meant to be with Bonnie so
Frazzini was surely destined to be with Aspen! The pairing is surely heaven-
sent!
I absolutely love the country vibe that runs through this album; The
Believers make it so believable and matter-of-fact! As the album opened I
liked what I heard and as it unfolded I felt myself being drawn further in
until, at the end, I was totally hooked and became a believer too - this is good
wholesome stuff from a really convincing outï¬t - if you want country, you've
got it - if you want pop or rock, baby you've got it - if you want raunchy, it's
here - if you want emotion and sentiment, yep - if you want a great album of
well crafted songs by an outï¬t that sounds like it's going places, it's right
here!!
'Lucky You' by The Believers is freshness and light, a piece of solid gold, a
little gem. I could listen to this all day long - and probably will!!!
