Andrew Elwell (Guitar/vox) and Alan Church(Bass guitar/vox), both originally from Duluth, MN have been playing music together since 1998. Since 2003, Islero has met up with Dale Kirvelay (Drums), relocated to Minneapolis, MN and have been focusing on regional touring. Islero, known for their intense high-energy shows, has developed a large following of fans from around the Midwest. The trio packs a punch with their very original style of rock. Fans say they have the hardest time describing Islero's style of music to others. Islero, gaining national recognition for their unique style, talent and professionalism, is on their way to becoming the new voice in rock.
Islero's first full length "These are the First Steps in Explanation," reached wide distribution and was played on college radio stations around the Midwest and East coast. Their latest EP "Like You Mean It" is following in its footsteps, gaining praise from around the Midwest as the band tours the country. The EP is more political then their full length, but keeps with the intense heart felt passion that drives their music. The EP tearss through six passionate tracks with an energy like none other. "Like You Mean It" is surely not a record to miss for the true fans of the progression of rock as we know it.
