This group of musicians first met in 1996 while performing the traditional "fiestas de cruz" in the municipality of Carolina.

Five years later, Isabelo Rivera, group director, decided to promote this cultural event in a CD to be available to all family members in and out of Puerto Rico.

Its instrumention includes the Cuban "tres", bass, guitar, conga, bongo, guiro and a singer (Isabelo Rivera Sayans) and a choir.

This festivity to the holy cross and to the virgin is a cultural event, part of the folklore of the people of Puerto Rico and starts late in April, ending late in June.

Special activities are presented in various comunities through the whole island.
