Johnny started playing various local open mic nights and solo acoustic shows throughout Alabama on a weekly basis. It was at one of these shows that he attracted the attention of the Atlanta based management firm Total Kaos Entertainment. They immediately got Johnny in the studio to record his debut five song EP "So Much Lighter" and even enlisted the help of renowned vocal coach Jan Smith (Rob Thomas, Usher) to develop and strengthen Johnny's voice. With the EP being completed in May various radio stations in Georgia and Alabama quickly picked up "Let It Go" which was the first single from the EP. Soon thereafter a buzz began forming slowly but surely about this new artist. Then with the release of Johnny's next single, "Possibly" the response was even more unbelievable than from the first single. Radio stations all over the United States both commercial and Internet began adding this track and CD sales doubled. In fact, "Possibly" was the number one played song for four weeks in a row on Alexa Digital Radio. The gigs that Johnny played became a little more crowded with people who were actually singing along to his songs! The industry also began to take notice as well with SongwritersUniverse.com awarding "Possibly" as one of the top five songs in June and recently SingersUniverse.com named Johnny as one of the Top five vocalists in July. Because of this success Johnny and his management are currently in talks with several major and independent record labels searching for the best fit.
