Bright Light from a Single Spark brilliantly creates musical synergy with a merger of jazz and new age sounds. Accompanying Jimmy in creating this luminous journey is Chester Thompson (Phil Collins, George Benson,) on drums, Tony C. (Atlantic Records) harmonica, Nâdinga Gaba on turntables, and introducing Melanie Gera-Hazelrigg, soprano, on vocals. This collaboration would not be complete without the fierce team of Geoff and George Hazelrigg on board as writers and arrangers.

Jimmyâs musical style can be depicted as the Miles Davis of today. He bridges his digital and acoustic trumpets with sounds from a Louisiana blues harmonica together with influences from the tones of the middle east, the rhythms of new age music, crisp pop turntables, and lush female vocals to create a worldly jazz sound that transcends its traditional American roots.

Jimmy Wilson born in Baltimore, Maryland and began playing the trumpet at age six. He later played in jazz bands and local bands while in High School. He attended the Preparatory Peabody Conservatory of Music, in Baltimore. Outside of writing and composing his music, Jimmy collaborates on several projects in writing and composing jazz and new age music with artists from around the world.
