Sweeping emotions fit for grand epic story-telling. Colourful, energetic pop/rock tunes. Complete instrumental ecstasy.
19 MP3 Songs
EASY LISTENING: Soft Rock, NEW AGE: New Age
Details:
What might it sound like if someone composed songs in the style of Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of 70's pop/rock group ABBA, but performed them instrumentally like Yanni? What if quieter Enya-like pieces were included as well? What if the themes began to intertwine themselves between songs like a movie score? And what if experimental sounds and cues from ancient cultures were used to give it more of a New Age feel?
The answer is that it might begin to sound something like
"Harmonic Odyssey", an album of 19 thematically linked
songs that strike a range of emotional chords and styles.
"I definitely love to use memorable melodies, catchy bass-lines, and grand orchestral ambiences as main ingredients in my compositions," says "Harmonic Odyssey" composer/performer/producer Martin Izsak.
"Odyssey" is a completely instrumental album. The music was created on synthesizers, using a virtual orchestra of strings, guitar, bass, flute, clarinet, trombone, french horn, wordless choir, piano, harpsichord, & drums. The pieces also feature many newly created synthetic instrument sounds.
This CD is packed with energetic, graceful, majestic instrumental soft-rock and classical / new age / experimental compositions, a 70 minute, round trip ticket across a universe of wondrous harmonies, rousing triumphs, and playful fun.
