Jacinta was born musical and exotic of Russian Cossack and Australian First Fleeter descendants. Although she took her first breath in Portland Oregon, Jacinta was still wrapped in a bundle when her family relocated to Sydney, Australia where she grew up.

It has always been her dream to return and reside in America, so she selected Austin Texas, 'the live musical capital of the world' and commenced her American adventure.

Since arriving in Austin, Jacinta has been cast a principal character for the film 'All You Can Eat,' an Austin film being shot in September. In addition, she is contributing two tracks, one being 'FLY' and producing the music sound scape. She has built a new computer studio for recording her forthcoming album and has continued ongoing writing commitments for Australian and Canadian TV.

Jacinta is a multi dimensional artist and a genuine, empathic personality. Her background comprises mostly of working in the performing arts industry, encompassing music, acting and dance.

When it comes to music, she calls herself a 'Jac of all trades' playing several instruments, arranging & programming. This self produced songstress has a magical and distinctive voice and an infectious and energetic charisma on and off stage.

Her music is deliberate, compelling and stylistically versatile ... edgy, soothing, funky, textured, smooth, melodic, dark, shiny, appealing. The one common thread-It has purpose.

Having had classical piano training as a child, Jacinta commenced playing in bands as a keyboard player and backing vocalist in her first band 'Maiden Voyage,' an all girl outfit that toured the East Coast and Outback circuits of Australia. She progressed along the electronic path traversing sequencers, samplers and an array of boards before employing her guitar hobby and adding saxophone to the equation. Much to many drummers' disapproval, Jacinta was a pioneer of the 'sequenced act' with the first Gold Coast (Australia's tourist capital) based duo 'Lipstick.' She continued in a succession of acts including performing and touring with Brian Cadd and Glenn Shorrock (The Little River Band) nationally and in Asia as well as supporting many high profile Autralian artists in her own acts.

In 1997, Jacinta decided to approach her music career from a solo perspective and has been purposefully building a diverse and stylish presence, performing, songwriting, producing and establishing her own label 'Chunky Music.' Her musical diversity and reputation has found her supporting international artists of many genres including Tony Bennett, Leo Sayer, David Gates (Bread), 'Cake,' 'Take That,' international bookings and frequent residencies in five star establishments.

Jacinta's performances can be purely electronic to simply piano and voice only. Jacinta's band? - extensions of her fingers and the impressions they leave behind on floppy's, zips and dats, She has a substantial original repertoire which she regularly performed in Sydney and Gold Coast dance clubs as well singing and jamming with DJ's.


In 1999, Jacinta recorded 'Sandalwood - Under the influence,' an album inspired by a freakish 5 month adventure in India (and the samples that she gathered). 'Sandalwood - Under the influence' was released March 2000, the launch selling out of the special edition copies. The album attracted airplay and media attention, charted on the Australian independent chart and resulted in an East Coast tour of Australia -The 'J2000 Tour.' 'Sandalwood - Under the influence' is into it's third pressing.

'Fly,' the single from this album, has reached many audiences. It has been included in the the ABC(Australia)/YTV(Canada) series 'The Saddle Club,' it has penetrated Australia's surfing community being included on the surfing video 'Rise' and will be included in Australia's real TV program 'Big Brother' later this year. 'Sandalwood - Under the Influence' and 'FLY' are available on line through CD Baby, Chaos Music (Australia) and in store through MGM Distribution (Australia) and now at Waterloo Records, Austin TX.

Jacinta is in Austin to get her Chunky Music out there. She is seeking gigs, film and music projects, representation and airplay.
