Tony Johannsen and The Land Of Plenty formed in late 2007, independently they are all consummate musicians and have performed with an array of Australia's top acts. What brought them together as a group was a commitment to to present something fresh, and this is what they have done. Johannsen, the driving force and sole songwriter of the group takes observations of ordinary life and weaves them into sensational songs, crossing effortlessly into a range of genres; at the core of their live performances and their debut album is absolute quality.

Their unique brand of music features the strong vocal talent of Johannsen, thoughtful and lyrics, jingling guitars, madolin and an awesome rhythm section.

About the band.

Tony Johannsen is a committed musician and singer songwriter who is passionate about his new project with The Land Of Plenty. This project has brought to the fore his skills as a singer, songwriter and performer. His talent as a multi instrumentalist is forever evident, yet what is most impressive is his ability to capture the moment, his album from start to finish is an impressive musical journey and live Johannsen and The Land Of Plenty are a genuine must see.

The Land of Plenty features Glenn Ford on Guitar, an acccomplished solo performer in his own right. He has played extensively throughout Melbourne and has been involved in most of Johannsen's musical experiments to date. Ford is an incredibly versatile player and ads a dynamic energy to The Land of Plenty.
Ford has worked with indigenous communties from Christmas Island to Alice Springs playing and composing music for a touring circus.

Andrew Beaumont on bass who brings a strong, groovie melodic feel to the group and, Fabio Pertile on drums. Pertile has also worked with Johannsen as Engineer and Producer. He is a multi-instrumenalist and has been an active Musician all his life. His wealth of experience and enthusiasim is a great asset to The Land Of Plenty.
