James Correa was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He has traveled various parts of the world and been influenced by it's multitude of styles and cultures to fuse a unique folk-based blend of pop, rock, eastern and soul. Correa tests the boundaries of pop expectations with a mix of the traditional and the new and a dramatic approach toward melody and arrangement.
Correa evokes feelings of profound self-examination in his lyrics. The complexities of love, family, duty and the fragile human condition are carefully scrutinized and delivered in a manner befitting the sensitive, modern man aspiring to spiritual evolution and emotional growth.
