Daniel James, much like many artists before him, received his early and most basic training in church. Always eager to perform, Daniel received his first start in a contemporary Christian group named The Happy Day Express, consisting of Daniel and his three older brothers. Since then Daniel has participated in several groups, sang on the praise team at Orchard Road Christian Center, shared the stage with renowned Gospel artists such as Ce Ce Winans, Martha Munizzi,Anointed and Tim Miner and is often seen traveling across the United States and Canada, ministering in different churches and concert venues. Daniel has also become an accomplished songwriter, recognized by many respected songwriters throughout the music industry, including Jon Gibson and Tony Wood. In October 2003, Daniel competed at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Burbank, California. He was awarded five silver-medal finishes in five different categories.
