Folk singer-songwriter Jason Bennett recorded this cd himself in his laundry room on an old analog Tascam 4-Track Porta Studio. It features Bennett alone on vocals, guitar and harmonica. Original folk album recorded with the philosophy that less is more.
10 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Traditional Folk, FOLK: Folk Pop
Details:
The songs on Acoustic Harbor were recorded in my laundry room at my house in Shelton, Washington on an old analog Tascam Porta Studio 4-Track. The songs are stripped to the core and are recorded with the philosophy that less is more. In today's plastic, digital age I find a certain comfort in recording this way and I hope the listener enjoys hearing the songs in their original form. No studio, no back-up musicians, no overdubs, no bullmake. Just me thumpin' on my guitar in my home. Like the way Woody Guthrie used to do it. Or those early bootleg Bob Dylan recordings. I like the personal feeling of inviting the listener into my own home through the songs. The songs are not pristine or polished, but neither is life. And so it goes. I hope you enjoy Acoustic Harbor........
