Acoustic performer Mark Jackson is a songwriter whose music has traveled from the hills of Oklahoma to the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Influenced by such greats as Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Willie Nelson, he carries on the tradition of the storyteller and poet combined to create the western American country/folk song. Whether he's singing about leaving it all behind and riding a train south down to Mexico or about a woman who finally makes it home to Charlotte Texas, Mark conjures up true images and feelings that shoot straight to the heart.

Growing up in Oklahoma City and, after sailing the world with the Navy for several years, Mark landed in San Diego, Ca. where he eventually formed the Mark Jackson Band.
