After years of playing in bars, coffee houses, and clubs, up and down the west coast, Jacob Brandt has released his fourth solo album. It is simply, but appropriately titled "Jacob". From the sweet acoustic sounds of "Ferment", to the charring, melodic hard rock of "Lonetree", to the haunting psychedelic beauty of "Fingertrace", as well as all of the lo-fi, americana, solo works in between, Jacob blends his previous experiments into a static whirlwind of folk guitar, catchy melodies, hypnotic beats, and sly rhythms, along the likes of "Sparklehorse", "Ugly Cassanova", and "Beck".

These seven, timeless tracks were written "...after midnight at the old man's trailer, and then recorded before midnight back at the garage". All instruments and voice were performed and recorded by Jacob, with the exception of "Dirge", which features "Lonetree's" Milo Cuesta and Curt Rock on percussion.

Jacob is now in the process of resurrecting portions of previous works, so stay tuned and don't look up.
