Details:
Richard "Jahtah" Anderson was born on July 1, 1970 on Ashley road in Kingston, Jamaica not far from Trench Town where one of his heroes, Bob Marley once resided. He lived with his parents and two siblings up to age six when his father wound up lost at sea and his mother emigrated to the United States. He was sent to live with his maternal grandmother and a multitude of relatives in Halse hall, Clarendon until age 12 when he also emigrated to the USA... to Bridgeport, CT.

Jahtah attended Central High School and while there took part in several talent shows and competitions... always the first place winner. He saw the need for an avenue that would showcase the talents of all students irrestpective of ethnicity; hence the Multi-cultural Affaire which was developed in 1987 and exists to this day.

Jahtah opened up for the Inner Circle Band at Toad's Place - a regular gathering place for top musical acts, local and international. He then traveled to Ghana, West Africa where he toured and performed with the Zion Children Band, after which collaborated with his brother Najo and a friend Ras Accurate in Kingston, Jamaica on a soon to be released CD. He has produced another CD, which is to be independently released.

At this time Jahtah states that it has been his task in the past to use inspiration from His Majesty, Haile Selassie to compose his songs and intends to use that inspiration and RastaMan vibes to create a fundamental and original sound as his contribution to raising the consciousness of All Black People.
