Having been a musician and songwriter for over 25 years, James Owen resides in Tucson Arizona, an area well known for its depth in local musical talent.
JT Waldron, co-owner of Sound and Fury Productions, encouraged James to create this work.
Halfway through the project, James received a sailing invitation from longtime friend Hartley Gardner, Skipper of the ketch White Eagle.
James' experience as a member of a crew of three on a twenty two day Pacific Ocean passage from Kaneohe Bay, Oahu to Santa Cruz, California deeply flavors this musical story of unrequited love, personal challenge, and the resolve to positively move forward.
Percussionist Lenny Nasca's masterful performances subtly enhance many of the songs on this album.
The partnership between James Owen and sound engineer Mike Fielder has resulted in a mellow and evocative work of art, worthy of any collection.
