One day while this special lady was working for FED-EX, she brought a package addressed to the GM Sound Recording Studios, Gladewater, Texas, and made the remark that she'd always wanted to sing in a studio. Our engineer, Johnny Mills, was on break at the time, so he said, "Honey, just step into the booth and start singing." She did and believe us, right there we heard a singing voice that seemingly sang with no effort, one like we'd never heard before in country music.
