jose l. ortiz sr. has been in and around the business for about 20 years now. having over 30 albums (cd's) to his name. now going under the name "joe business & the bad mo' stanky's" this is the best collection yet! his drumming can be complex or just as simple as can be! jose has played with such artist as: roy ayers (vibes/jazz)the "jgb" band (jerry garcia band) marilyn mccoo & billy dayis jr,(of the fifth dimentions fame)and the legendary frank morgan (bi-bop jazz)sax. just to name a few. still active & now living in hawaii, jose continues to amaze audiences of all ages. making vidio's & dvd's. the name wendlo comes from the two words:old & new put together as one.(backwards)sometimes i think this guy is so old fashion that he is in fashion>enjoy tracks 1,2,5,6,7,14. there is some real musical intellegence going on here. until next time,so long bye bye.....peace joe
