Details:
John Conahan is a piano singer/songwriter based in Philadelphia, PA. He has fashioned a technique that is driven by concentrated and highly-acrobatic singing, as well as a charming piano sound that will impress and inspire. Polished songs of depth colored with the grit of New Orleans blues.

He has shared the stage with musicians like Jeffrey Gaines, Josh Joplin & the Squirrel Nut Zippers. He has been a clinician at Eastman School of Music, performed with Ravi Coltrane, and worked extensively as a spontaneous piano artist. However, he is most known for his highly energetic singing, bombastic piano skills and forcing his audiences into singing along.

"ALL OF THESE FEARS ARE FRIENDS TO ME NOW" features John on vocals & piano and Oliver Hsu on Cello. Oliver plays very impressive and beautifully romantic lines in compliment to John's songs. This album is a contrast from John's first release "SONGS FROM PHILADELPHIA" in that is does not feature drums, bass or guitar; it simply focuses on the duet in a more subdued, fundamental setting. "SONGS FROM PHILADELPHIA" looks outward from the piano, where THIS album clearly looks inward.

One journalist notes, "This new material is a lot more subtle, understated, and I feel like that approach has given his songwriting room to breathe.
This isn't John Conahan sounding like other artists, this is what John
Conahan sounds like. A very distinctive, hushed, serene sound, but done in a way that draws listeners in."

John is currently performing throughout the Philadelphia and New York areas. He has been noted by the local and national press and receives airplay on public and college radio stations around the world.
