Details:
Hello,

here's a few words about my album:

From Paris, France, "The Belle Epoque Ensemble" presents LUCETTINA, a 12 original titles album.
The band is all acoustic with banjo, violon, piano and bass
with a few guests on accordion, guitar, cello and uke.
Lucettina is an instrumental album with rag tunes, waltzs, a couple of ballads and swings;it shows that the banjo can play its own music, far from bluegrass.

here's a few words about the author:

I'm Jean-marc Andres, a french born banjo player.
After playing with french singer Hugues Aufray and then touring the US for several seasons with the french band "Transatlantic Bluegrass", I moved to Woodstock(NY) to play the banjo for John Herald and the guitar, mandoline and banjo for a local trio named "Acoustic News".
After a few years I moved south to Florida to work the local scene in a duo, again playing acoustic adaptations of popular songs on guitar, banjo and mandoline.
Moving further south, to the Carrabeans, I played local music with a local band for about 3 years before moving back to France.
Then, I released my first solo album "ZARANA" a ragtime duo with piano and banjo.
LUCETTINA was realeased in august 2005.
