Details:
Hailing from Annapolis, MD, Jepetto exploded onto the DC/Baltimore scene when they won the WHFS Big Break Concert in 1999 and played the main stage at the prestigious HFStival. The bands unique blend of high energy hip hop, punk, funk, and DC Go Go has reaped them a huge following and invitations to the Warped Tour twice and the HFStival four years in a row. Hardcore independents, Jepetto will grow as musicians, as a team, and as friends.
The release of their second album "inkbox" (Fowl Records), has given Jepetto a chance to express their singular style of rhythm and rhyme. Songs such as "Destroyer" and "Caleco" show their versatility in harmonies and beats while "Dynamite Team" (featuring kindred spirits Grand Buffet from Pittsburgh) gives a clear representation of their lyrical skills. With the release of this CD, Jepetto hopes to build their grass roots fan base. Jepetto had already opened for such artists as Cypress Hill, Good Charlotte, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Fenix, TX, and many others at Warped and HFStival.
