Winners of the Ozark Music Awards Blues Band of the year 2002&2003, Artist of the year 2003 and Female Vocalist of the year 2003. Jennifer B & the Groove Kings is building a strong reputation of exciting performances of contemporary blues and R&B throughout Arkansas and surrounding states. Wanting to return to the blues scene she had left in Austin, Texas, the charismatic and talented Jennifer B partnered with Mike Murray, former bass player for Alligator recording artist Michael Burks and Grammy winner Bo Ramsey to form the dynamic and soulfull Northwest Arkansas blues band Jennifer B & the Groove Kings. Having performed at leading regional blues festivals and already scheduled for repeat appearances the band is garnering rave reviews including articles in the prestigious King Biscuit Time magazine. Their debut cd "Checkin' In" is enjoying airplay in several locales including; Argentina, Belgium, Poland, Iowa, St.Louis Mo(www.bluesnet.com), and of course Arkansas.
