Dirty" is a convincing mixture of meaty rock and folk songs with modern techno and trance influences. An original and convincing sound that was born in the live scene. The central instrument is the voice, which "tells" us stories of the nastiness and perversions of human nature seen through the eyes of the poet and frontman Jeremiah.

Jeremiah Joseph Hogan collected records and started DJ-ing when he was 15, bought his first guitar in Dublin in 1977 and immediatly began writing songs. From playing countless gigs on the local scene enough money was earned to go into the studio to record the first demo. From this point on, studio and live performance became equally important for Jeremiah.
The murdering mixture of Catholicism, prudeness and suburbia in Ireland drove him out into the rest of the world. In 1985 he visited musician friends in Hamburg. It turned out to be a deciding change in his life. Jeremiah played in numerous bands, bought an 8 track and mixer, recorded demos and eventually produced and released his first single "Black" in 1992.
This was the beginning of JER HOG.

The band played gigs up and down the country and invested in modernizing their recording equipment. Jeremiah composed, recorded and produced the first CD "King's Birthday", which was released on his own label in 1996; Piggy Bank Records. The philosophy was simple; "Don't expect anyone to be more committed to your product than you are. Do it yourself!". With this CD JER HOG went out again on tour, doing advertising and distribution themselves. In all, 800 copies were sold during the following 2 years. Mostly after shows, where the band had convinced it's audience.

While headlining the "Kalilingrad In Rock Festival" in Russia for the second year in a row (15000 visitors), Jeremiah met the Hamburg band "Das Weeth Experience". Shortly after he was co-writing new material, playing bass on their next album and heading to the States on tour. 1999 also saw the birth of another musical project with a video maker friend; "V.S.B." combining industrial pop-rock with dancefloor rhythms. Despite being very tied up with these new commitments, Jeremiah continued to write and record new songs for the second JER HOG album "Dirty", whenever he got the chance.

"Dirty" goes beyond the borders of conventional rock. The classical minimal 3 piece: bass, drums and guitar don't act restrictive on this record. On the contrary, JER HOG has once again, with little gimmick and lots of fantasy and enthusiasm created an unmistakable and catchy sound.
