Jerry McCann is a long time veteran of the music world. He has played guitar for 49 years. Performed in groups and as a solo for 40 years. Composed for 45 years. He and Ron Middag, Jerry's long time friend, producer and engineer, put this project together as much for the music as for the 35 year friendship they have enjoyed. Procol Harum's song "Whiter Shade of Pale" and the Beatles "A Day in the Life" are here as a reminder of how they met in 1967. Jerry was performing live on K.P.R.I. San Diego"s original F.M. "Undergound" station. Ron was just beginning his broadcasting career. They have been friends and musical collaborators ever since. Jerry played guitar, bass, flute, harmonica, and sang all vocals on this project. It was recorded in 5 days at Paul's Sweatlodge in San Anselmo, Ca. in 5/2001. Shortly thereafter Ron moved to Kauai and Jerry had to go there to mix it all down. What a bummer!!! Amazing Grace is on this C.D. because it belongs there. It's what friendship and music are all about...Amazing Grace...All the remaing songs were written by Jerry McCann. Hope you enjoy this music as much as they enjoyed bringing it to you.
