Description:

(ID 368982)
A combination of rock, blues, country, and folk with a lyrical honesty of Bright Eyes, the story telling of Springsteen, and the pure rock of the Rolling Stones. But with a style all his own.

11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Acoustic, FOLK: Modern Folk

Details:
Born and raised in a small town, Jesse writes with brutal honesty, passion, and rage. With a maddening pen in hand he searches for truth, and the hope that happiness, weither it be in the form of love or freedom is hiding somewhere out beyond all of the white picket fences and perfectly divided green lawns that these songs were grown from.

Nostalgia is Jesse's first full lengh LP. And with just one listen you can feel his longing and desperation. All of these songs are saturated in the alcohol they were written from and the depressed shattered soul that give them their truth. Recorded in the Grand Motel nostalgia has a low-fi 4-track sounding vibe along the lines of Bright Eyes and Springsteen's 'Nebraska'. And some of the songs sound very much like these same bands. From the opening Wilcoish "Sunday Mornings", to the soulful "Feeling Low". One thing is apparent in this new young artist and this album and that is that Jesse knows how to write straight from the heart with passion, conviction, and honesty. You will definetly be hearing alot more from this young New Englander.
