Details:
Jess Mills has been playing piano his whole life. After years of being self taught, he began lessons with Anne Adams of Austin, TX. After an all-too-brief time under her tutelage, he began study of classical piano at SFASU in Nacogdoches TX, where he studied piano under Dr. Andrew Parr, Composition under G. Darrell Holt, and Jazz under Dr. Gary Wurtz.

Don't blame any of them for the result.

After graduation, he taught choir for a year, but missed the performance stage too much. He assembled a Jazz Combo in his hometown of Pleasanton, TX, where he began singing. The CD "Right Out of the Blue" is the result of this foray.

Also around this time, he began playing in piano bars in the San Antonio area, beginning with "Howl at the Moon," then graduating to "Pat O'Brien's." In May of 2004, he moved to New Orleans, LA, to play at the original "Pat O'Brien's," which is the oldest piano bar in the world.

He is currently working on his second CD, and will inflict it upon the world in late 2005, if all goes according to plan.

But it rarely does.
