Supersonic Chronic is Jet Baker's sixth CD about cannabis. Jet was discovered by High Times when they held an international contest to choose six people to be locked on a houseboat for three days to judge nineteen strains of pot. Oh yeah, the whole thing was filmed 24-7 and made into a seven episode TV show called THE CANNABIS CASTAWAYS. Kinda like Survivor meets the Real World meets Cheech and Chong. Jet was selected for his original song and music video SEND ME TO AMSTERDAM. See the whole thing in the High Times film THE CANNABIS CUP. (Jet's got 2 songs on the soundtrack.)

Jet Baker's tracks vibe of Dr. Dre, Eminem, Outkast and Black Eyed Peas. The CD starts with the title track SUPERSONIC CHRONIC. You'll be hummin this high-energy tune in your head all day. Very catch hooks, the sultry vocals of the P. Kat and the street hype of Emcee JC set the tone of the CD.

The next track HIT THAT THANG takes you a little farther on our journey. The big question: Is this track about pot or sex? You'll be the one to decide.

Either way the answer to that question is I LIKE IT. Which is the third track on the CD. It takes the pace down just a bit, brings you into a comfortable good feel groove and gives you a chance to breathe after the first 6 minutes of high energy music.

The fourth track SEX POT doesn't leave any room for guessing. At first I hesitated to include this track. It's raw. It's shocking. And it's dirty. But it's real. This is actually the "clean version" I've got 7 versions of this track waiting to be released as a maxi-single, but I'm gonna let you decide if it ever gets released. Listen to the "clean" version on this CD, and let me know if ya need more.

IK HOUD VAN AMSTERDAM is a love song. And yes I do flow in Dutch! On my last CD, PUFF ON A BIG FAT J, I rapped in Spanish on the track PUFF ON A BIG FAT J (SPANGLISH MIX). The response was so amazing in Latin and South America and Spain that I wanted to reach out to my friends in Holland. Over the last 5 years working with High Times and attending the Cannabis Cup I've made some deep friendships. This track explains how I feel.

On every CD I record I include a track which I consider a smart stoner song. I'm not about smoke, smoke, smoke, and smoke. Cannabis is a spiritual plant I respect and it mustn't be abused. There is a time and a place. If you wake and bake every day, or get stoned and go to work, or if you're high every minute of the day then you need to hear this song and PUT THE PIPE DOWN.

Also on every CD I include a track that is spiritually uplifting. On this CD I offer DREAM BIG. "Dream big cause it could come true, if it happened for me, it could happen for you." Don't limit yourself. Don't be a stoned waste on the couch all day. Use the creativity enhancing cannabis to aspire to greatness. Get off the couch and do something!
