DIGINIT is... c-note (upright bass/six string bass/keys/beats/loops), Troy Davis (tenor-sax/fluteloops) and Shauntec (electronica/guitar/beats). The music was born from a desire to meld contemporary dance beats and jazz. It can be largely improvisational ; based around themes and beat patterns, with a mixture of acoustic and electronic sounds. It also exists as more organized arrangements, and can include the odd cover tossed in for good measure. The music is largely instrumental, although the vocal element is increasing exponentially. A few of the groups music influences are Medeski /Martin and Wood, Erik Truffaz, Beck, Massive Attack, Directions in Groove, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Ninja Tunes, and the list goes on â¦. and on ⦠and on.
