Where does inspiration come from? Who can really know. But one thing is for certain. Whether it is inspiration for a book, a machine, a design, a symphony or a song, the impetus to share with other human beings is strong and universal. And even when the creator is normally and naturally shy or reserved, like Emily Dickenson, Tchaikovsky, and so many artists, the will and effort to share has been documented. However, these efforts usually have been subject to the whims of businessmen and understandable economic considerations of business. In this respect, the internet is proving to be an important medium, allowing direct contact between artists and discriminating consumers who may not always or easily find their musical preferences fulfilled in the mass marketplaces of popular music.
