Cult Electronic band Exploring Venus hailed from Glasgow,Scotland. The band were formed in the early 80s by "Jon Gerrard Mcpherson".
Jon enlisted the help of his former "Zero Time " guitarist "Malcolm McDonald". The line up was complete when "Iris Geddes" vocals,"Paul Galvin" bass,"Kevin Callaghan" keyboards and "Graham Fleming" drums joined the band.
The band had one of their songs "Cry For A Lifetime" released on the "Out Of The Unknown" compilation album and everything was looking up until "Iris" decided to leave the band.
"Sally Stuart" took the place of "Iris" and added extra keyboards to the band.
The band had a further two songs " Send No Flowers " and " The Easy Way Out " released on the " Overtone " compilation album.
" Paul and Graham " left the band due to " musical differences " and were replaced by " Neil Gillies " drums and " Derek Wilson " on bass.
The difference in the bands sound could be heard on songs such as "Tomorrow Never Comes " and " Love In A Dreamworld"
The band broke up just as things were about to take off.
As one newspaper reported " Exploring Venus took central Scotland by storm , but storms within the band blew the dream apart "
