It is in that spirit that gospel-pop group JamIt offers their latest CD single "Karol", a poem and tribute to the late Karol Wojtyla - Pope John Paul II. The multi-national female trio blends expressive vocals with poignant poetry to create a stirring homage. "He (Karol Wojtyla) was an inspiration to me not only for how he was able to communicate his message of love, peace and honesty but the profoundness of his ability to reach across religious, political and generational boundaries. "Karol" is a very personal thank you to him", says singer/songwriter Christine Joan Johnson.

The poem "Karol" has been translated into six languages while the current CD single contains performed versions in English and Italian. JamIt features the vocals of Christine Joan (leader & arranger), Andrea Celeste, and Ylenia "Jam" Mulazzani. Keyboardist Fabio Biffi lends his performing and arranging skills to "Karol". This unique ensemble joins together Jamaican, Italian and American cultures creating a youthful, yet seasoned, fresh sound. Christine Joan was the creator/performer/producer for the hit producing group I.C.T. and is president of JamIt Music Production: JMP. She is also an accomplished author and playwright recently debuting the first gospel/cinema/video musical "The 12 Faces" (www.the12faces.com).
