Heather O'Neill was born June 5th 1982 in County Kerry, Ireland. She moved to the States at the age of four, then lived in and around the Chicago land area in her formative years. At eighteen she moved to New York City to study film. She became a regular at jazz clubs ultimately changing her medium. Upon returning to Chicago,Heather took some poetry classes this became the material featured on Back There.(O'Neill's first record)
Pain,humor,and understanding fuse her words which are met by a thumb and fingerpicking guitar style truly unique to Heather. She has just wrapped a summer tour that breezed through Colorado, Arizona, California, Minnesota, Iowa, and New York. Currently she is dishing out new material that fans call "Provocative Blues"
